A Sanskrit commentary on the Sarva-samvādinī

I recently acquired a copy of a Sanskrit commentary on the Sarva-samvādinī, which is a commentary by Śrī Jīva Goswami on his Sandarbhas. It is written by Śrī Ānanda Gopāla Vedānta-tirtha, who is a Gauḍiya-Vedānta scholar currently based in Rādhā-kund. The book was published by the Jīva Institute in 2017.

That a Sanskrit scholar in modern times has written a Sanskrit commentary on the Sarva-samvādinī is fascinating to me. I also rather like reading his Sanskrit as it is quite easy to follow and contains much valuable information. For example, I came across this rather interesting chart that traces Śrī Jīva’s lineage.

There is still some genuine scholarship left in Gauḍiya Vaiṣṇavism!

  1. Pranama, if I remember correctly Sri Babaji mentioned in a dissertation on sanskrit that Sri Ananda Gopala Vedanta tirtha wrote a commentary on Srimad Bhagavata Purana.
