Question: Is the goal of human life to inquire about a permanent solution to the real problems of life?
Answer: The statement is incoherent. Inquiry is a method. A sādhana. It is not the goal. We inquire into something. That something is the goal of the inquiry. So I do not know what you are trying to say.
Question: Is the goal to be free from problems? A permanent relief from all miseries?
Answer: Relief from misery or problems can be experienced in deep sleep every night. This type of goal is not a very lofty goal.
Question: Is the goal an eternal life of bliss, peace and happiness?
Answer: What is the difference between bliss and happiness? Peace leads to happiness, so again, this question is poorly formulated.
Question: So what is the goal?
Answer: It depends. If you are on the jñāna mārga, the goal is to attain Brahman. If you are on the uttamā-bhakti mārga, the goal is Bhagavad-bhakti alone and nothing else.
Question: Doesn’t bhakti bring peace and happiness?
Answer: Yes, as a side-effect. But peace and happiness is not the goal of an uttama bhakta. That would be a selfish desire that does not fit in the definition of uttamā-bhakti. Bhagavad-bhakti alone is the goal of uttamā-bhakti.
